When I was putting together this post, one word lingered in my mind everytime I saw an image of Ashley. Radiant. She has one of the biggest and best smiles around and spreads her laughter through an entire room. It's no wonder Matt is so crazy about her. Once I got these two alone, they couldn't keep their lips off each other. I just kept thinking of warmth and so for the images, I wanted to just wrap these two up in as much sun as my camera could handle. The other thing about Ashley is that she's really close to her family. There were tears and laughs and not much in between. The emotion of her dads walking her down the aisle carried through to the speeches where there wasn't a dry eye in the whole hall. The pure life at this wedding was so awesome to be a part of.

I was standing near the entrance of Distillery District while Joanna and Chris were waiting for my first instructions. This is always interesting because I don't know how natural a couple is going to feel at first and how much help they're going to need from me. The second I pulled my camera to my face, they locked into each other and it was like I didn't exist. We walked and talked while I waited for the sun to hit it's sweet spot. We discussed the upcoming wedding plans and cool, artsy tables that vendors in Distillery were selling. I finally saw the sun weave around the buildings at a perfect angle and we got shooting again. As I took a look at my camera's screen, I glanced up and saw Chris scoop Joanna up and started dancing with her in the middle of the stone streets. I remember a conversation Chris and I had before the shoot. He said, his job is to make Joanna happy. This was more of a date than a photo shoot and I could actually see what Chris was talking about.
